Happy Friday, y’all! I am here to tell you why Needtobreathe could be–and probably should be–your new favorite band. I’m biased. I’ve followed these guys since my freshman year of college, 2006. Since then, not only have my photography skills evolved (along with the quality of my camera), but so has their music.
These photos cover Fall 2006-Spring 2013
Last fall, I had the privilege of seeing them again at The Handlebar, in Greenville, South Carolina. The show was part of The Stomping Ground Tour, where they played some of the smaller venues that they played back in the beginning. In fact, some of the pictures above were taken at the Handlebar in 2007. I’ve seen them play everywhere from small rooms where you could hear the line dancing next door to major outdoor venues. It’s been amazing to listen to their music progress and watch the crowds grow.
Last week, Needtobreathe released their album Rivers in the Wasteland. I cannot say enough about how much I love this album. The songs are diverse, yet cohesive. There is definitely something for everyone.
Just watch this great video from them on The David Letterman show this week and tell me that you don’t like them. That’s a dare.
I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! Any new music recommendations for me?
